History:

At a young age, he was best friends with Takumu and Chiyuri, often visiting their homes in the same apartment building, be it for homework, playing together, eating meals, or just plain having fun. In those childhood years, Haruyuki had some of his best memories.

At around seven or eight years of age, his parents had a messy divorce. Haruyuki became aware that he was involved in it somehow, and blamed himself for the split.

Placing upon himself the shame and guilt of living in a broken family, it drastically affected his character:

Without his father around and his mother working, he began to depend on processed and instant food unhealthily, to the point that it became a comfort food. His weight skyrocketed.

Withdrawing himself from Takumu and Chiyuri, their mutual sadness and loneliness brought them closer together until Takumu intimated to Chiyuri to become his girlfriend. Her agreement further made Haruyuki blame himself, and he pushed himself away even more.

And when the twin factors of bullying and lack of support from his mother came together, Haruyuki pushed himself into an even tighter corner, isolating himself. At times, he reminisced of his father and times together with Takumu and Chiyuri; giving birth to a tiny, unconscious wish;

Dad...Mum...Takumu...Chiyuri...

I want to be with all of you no matter where you are!

Unfortunately, this wish was never voiced out by Haruyuki, buried under layer of layer of repression. At around ten years of age, Haruyuki had already forgotten his parents had even divorced.

The forbidden program Brain Burst however, translated his wish into something that perfectly reflected his wish to be with his dearly loved ones anywhere (presumably excluding anyone else), and that power became High Speed Aviation, or--

Flight Ability. To be by their side anywhere, everywhere, forever.

Personality:

Shy and politely cautious to others, Haruyuki doesn't seem to have reason to be close to others. He's fine just being alone to his own devices, be it eating, gaming, or minding his daily affairs.

At the core of his heart, however, the obsession with keeping his friends can either drive him to the depths of hope, or the limits of rage and hate. Stemming from his unconscious wish to stay with his loved ones, while he may not show affection to others as he does to Chiyuri and Takumu, attempt to take anyone who is closer than a stranger from him, and he will fight to the teeth to keep them.

To induce rage in Haruyuki takes a surprisingly considerable effort as well, and as such his avatar's offensive skills are limited to Punch / Kick and Headbutt; basic moves that shouldn't need system support.

Points of Distinction:

His insane reaction speed, honed from years of VR gaming and VR squash practice is unparalleled among Accel World. Able to instantaneously evaluate and react when Black Lotus attempts to sever his arms, he can be an unpredictable foe to battle, changing actions and re-evaluating even mid-strike.

Brain Burst Avatar: Silver Crow

Appearance: A slim avatar that appears completely unarmed, Silver Crow is a pretty hard avatar to handle. On one hand, his close-quarters combat is on par with some Blues, aided by the strength of his silver armour and light bodyweight. On another hand, the pure silver colouring makes it hard for him to blend in with surroundings, and being metallic, he has natural weaknesses he has to work to compensate for.

Explanation: Borne from the wish to be with his friends, he has so little in the way of offensive abilities that the system needs to specify that techniques even exist. As such, he technically falls into the support category by his ability list.

The slim and tall shape of Silver Crow is an unconscious incarnation of his wish to not be short and fat, reflecting the much later trauma of being bullied by merit of an easy-looking target. Note that this aspect of the avatar has little to do with his main trauma.

METAL COLOUR: SILVER

• Good match: Heat, poison, light, acids. (lel chemistry knowledge.)
  
• Bad match: Blunt, electricity.
  
• So-so match: Cutting, piercing, freezing.

EXPLANATION:

• For metals, they can have a super-special ability, and only one. The strength of this ability must be elaborated upon.
  
  
• Furthermore, when taking an attack, when a Good Match is observed SDF is multiplied by 2 before adding with AMR to get your DEF stat. Eg. Between Silver Crow and Nickel Doll, Crow practically was immune to the poison of the swamp, but Doll suffered more.
  
  
• In a So-so Match, the DEF used as the defending stat, but no operation is performed on SDF, so it is your default DEF stat. Even when Niko used half her full power of her laser cannon's attack, Crow still had time to chat, imagine himself reflecting the light, and watch his health bar shrink. At that point, Niko is a Level 9 and Crow is a Level 5, so that says something about the intrinsic properties of Silver.
  
  
• In a Bad Match, you can practically say "Buddy, you're dead." Your specialised defense can't block the incoming attack, and so it's left to the hardness of your armour as it is, ignoring any special characteristics...sort of. I'll still give the metals a chance.
  
  A Bad Match situation halves your SDF, then adds AMR to get the defending stat. Depending on your choice of metal, either you will be screwed or you will be a very lucky man indeed to walk away from a Bad Match.

Abilities and Armaments:

-Name: Punch/Kick

-Cost: 0 (Normal Activation Passive skill)

-Description: System-guided punch or kick. It's not spectacular, but at least it's backed by the system, so it deals more damage than it should actually deal, for someone of Crow's build and strength.

-Effect: Any arbitrary punch or kick that contacts the opponent.

-Weakness: As with all physical blows, a strong blow requires the shifting of body mass to put weight behind the blow. Black Lotus exploits this to trip up her CQC opponents, by shifting their body mass too much, inducing an over-balancing, and tripping them up. Silver Crow, welcome to the meat grinder...

-Name: Aviation (Adversity-Unlock Skill)

-Cost: 5% per post (Limited Activation Passive skill)

-Description: Vibrates the fins of Crow's wings strongly to create lift. At high speeds, the wing may not even need to move, since the individual feathers are vibrating so strongly as to reach a level akin to a jet engine's propulsive force.

-Effect: By imagining his flight path, direction, and speed of flight, Crow controls his flight movement with the power of his mind, and no other mechanism. Deploying the wings does not require KG.

Using Punch and Kick together with Aviation creates two new Killer Moves: Flying Punch and Flying Kick. Executing either move consumes 15% KG per second for as long the move is active. Executing the move boosts ATK by a factor of 1.5x.

-Weaknesses: Besides requiring KG to operate, flight cannot be sustained in vacuum, where there is no air to flap wings and resist. Long range attacks, given enough accuracy, can also shoot down Crow.

-Cost: 30% KG

-Description: One post to prime by Haruyuki crossing his elbows in front of his head. Headbutts.

-Effect: Damage dealt is half Physical (blunt impact) and half Energy for a full damage value of sorts. Even if one is blocked, overall ATK isn't reduced by much.

So this will be a standard for all other metal sheets. They'll be monitored for OP more closely, but when used wisely (IC, though) they can be a force to reckon with.

Little wonder then, that Blue Knight has Manganese Blade and Cobalt Blade serving him as both bodyguards and (likely) RL sisters in hand. Talk about ryoute ni hana....
