Lightning Gadget Vs. Jonquil Shadow

Arashi was sitting in his lab with Ami.

Ami said "you ready for your debut fight. Gadget"

Arashi said "time to put my mind to work. Burst Link!"

Arashi accelerated opened up the duel menu. He saw several names including Rose Blooms but then he saw one name that sounded interesting

"Jonquil Shadow" Arashi muttered "hmm... I wonder how I would fair against him." He hit the duel button

A surge occurred as Arashi turned into Lightning Gadget and was sent into the accelerated world

Location: Accelerated World
Stage: Ocean

The minute Gadget was logged into the accelerated world. He was assaulted by water. He grunted and held his breath when his mask shifted slightly and he could feel air near his mouth. Gadget took a breath and blew it out releasing bubbles into the nearby water and regulated his breathing until he was comfortable as he sunk towards the bottom and landed.

"hoo..." Gadget exhaled "didn't see that one coming"

"that's what I said Gadget when I first encountered this stage."

Rose Bloom was swimming towards him.

"I take it this stage is all about water." Gadget

"Yep, The Ocean Stage." Rose said "don't worry about losing because you can't breathe. The avatars adapt to be able to have you breathe underwater."

"I figured as such." Gadget replied

"So who did you pick?"

"someone named Jonquil Shadow."

"hmm... Jonquil never heard of that color so I can't really help you determine his basic fighting style."

"it wouldn't be fair to get help for an actual match. So just watch and let's see how I do on my first experiment."

"Right." Rose replied

"A duel huh.... Right after the tutorial."

Yes, Shadow just met Silver Assassin for what he call a tutorial (even when there's no tutorial in BB) and checking his DA, Jonquil Shadow, which seems to bear such tricky abilities to use. He doesn't bother dueling someone but looks like someone just requested to battle him and this, he can't refuse (Well, the system didn't permit it).

It looks like he spawns near some kind of building. With a sigh, he looks around to this surrounding. A normal beach with a sunny weather. Complete with rocky coves and the building near him appears to be a beach bar. No matter how he thinks about it, it's just a normal beach with minimal cover, a disadvantage for him.

"Looks like I have to... improvise..."

With that in thought, he ignores the compass and leans his back to the beach bar where the shades is. His body seems to have sunk to the wall he leans in, and he was gone.

Gadget hummed as he swam in the water following the compass. The compass seemed to be directing him towards the shoreline.

"wonder if my opponent appeared on dry land." He muttered out loud "and I'm wondering if he's waiting for me to pop up." He hummed then got an idea. "when in doubt of an area always send out a scout. Now to find an area where the rest of my body can chill." He swam to one of the coves and laid himself down. "Gadgets as Limbs..." He muttered activating his body's special move that allowed him to turn his arms and legs into gadget like pieces while keeping his torso and chest in one piece. The only real problem was that his head separates from the body which can be sometimes disadvantageous as he had no real defense to use if someone discovered his head. It didn't hurt Gadget one bit to use the move and when he separated he could only really feel with his limbs when damage was dealt to them.

His arms legs and body separated into their gadget forms.

Gadget hummed "Lefty."

His left hand spider-crawled up next to Gadget's face and tapped it's index finger on the ground.

-What is your command?- was the line of text that appeared.

"Scout Mode, the opponent is somewhere up on the beach, try to go as far as you can to get in sensor range of them and give me a read out"

- Executing Command -

Lefty spider-crawled up the coastline and exited out of the water hugging the rocky

Gadget was lightly tapped on his right cheek.

His right hand was next to him

- Right Hand is bored, request something to do -

Gadget hummed as he scanned the coastline thinking of what he could do "Ah, Right hand, work with arms to dig along the coastline and put the sand and mud into a single mound. I want something to draw the attention of the opponent to provide left hand cover.

- time to get dirty arms -

The right hand followed by Gadget's two arms started moving towards the coastline

Gadget smirked to himself. "Wonder what will my opponent think when he sees a hand and a pair of arms digging up the coast."

While being stuck in the wall, he was shocked. A yellow metallic hand crawled like those zombie's hand in horror movie. However this doesn't last long. After all, his best friend's DA is an <Assassin>. He realized this game will show him many odd things. The concept of the DA is your real self and your wish. It wouldn't be surprising to see some monstrosity from those bullied nerds or someone like that.

Also, his mischievous side got the best of him. He had deducted that the enemy can only sense with the senses in that part, that is the skin. Feeling it's safe to go with his mischievous idea, he got out, dug a hole at the front of the beach bar. It's not deep, but it's enough to make sure that hand is buried and it will be hard for it to get out.

With a mischievous smile, he snatches the hand, still alive and moving, and bury it in the hole he dug before. Satisfaction filled him and still with a mischievous smile, he sticks back to the wall before, waiting to see his opponent's reaction

The list of responses that Gadget received from his left hand was this

- Hand is thrown into a sand pit and buried no damage to unit, Request back up to dig unit out of sand, sending homing signal to mark location -

Gadget made a face and blew bubbles in annoyance "so the guys a practical joker huh. Right Hand, go get lefty out of the sand and if you sense the opponent throw some mud in his direction. Feet, go back up the hands by following the homing signal that lefty is sending out"

- Got it -

The right hand went over to where the left hand was and started to remove the sand and within a few moments the left hand was out of the sand.

The left hand shook the sand off and the two hands communicated with each other then the left hand pointed a index in the direction that it had detected the opponent.

The right hand turned in that direction and both hands advanced towards where Shadow was.

Gadget's feet came out of the surf and both started hopping in the direction that the two hands were going in

"More 'toys' coming"

After seeing his sand pit failed, his mischievous mind works again. This time the idea is simple, they... can't... swim!
He gets out from the wall, with the mischievous smile still appears on his his face. He stopped for a while, take a deep breath and run toward those "toys" in front of him. He kicked the the legs and grabbed the hands, still wriggling helplessly. He drops them and kicked them in mid-air, a move which is called punt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punt_(Australian_football) ) in football. The target : the ocean

Gadget was waiting for a report in the ocean when all of a sudden four sharp pains one from each of his limbs was felt.

Gadget grunted in pain and annoyance then splashes were heard and as he turned to look. He saw his hands and feet sinking in the water.

"someone should tell that person up there it's not right to litter." Gadget muttered "All parts return to head." He rotated his head to be able to see through the water so he could see someone enter into the surf. "Now to make the opponent come looking for me or wait until my action bar is reached to be able to reattach my body."

With nothing left to do, Shadow reverts back to his normal self.

"With those hands and legs kicked, I'm sure he'll learn not to go here. Looks like I should be the one giving him the greetings instead."

With that in mind, Shadow walked slowly and casually to where to the compass is pointing

Gadget hands made it to the sides of his head.

Gadget hummed then transmitted

The hands lightly drilled themselves into the sand near Gadget's head to hide themselves. They were still somewhat visible (a trace of reflective metal here and there) but unless the opponent was looking for them in particular. He or she wouldn't be able to see them

Gadget lightly closed his eyes which made his head seem like it was an inactive toy.

It is common sense that when someone knows their enemy is coming, they'll prepare a fortified defense. And this is what is in Shadow's head.

"Just to make sure I'm safe"

He lie down on the ground, his body sunk. A shadow figure of someone in a robe appears. This is Shadow's appearance when his ability is activated. He moved towards a shadow, and the whole figure can't be seen. Now, he starts moving in the direction the compass shown,moves from shades to shades to ensure he stays unseen

Thankfully for Gadget, the beach and cove area he had 'hidden' in had only a few small solid shadows which were far away from his trap zone. The shallow water created a faint shadow on the floor as the sunlight was filtered through it. Gadget didn't directly know his opponent's abilities only that his hands had a hard time picking up the opponent before the guy attacked quickly and just as quickly disappearing by the time the hands could recover so it was some sort of invisibility or cloaking technique and aside from melee moves it was his only special move or so Gadget figured but without knowledge Gadget was at a disadvantage.

"Looks like I can advance anymore"

Seeing that he can't move stealthily in the shadows, he decided the only way to do it now is to do it directly. He goes as close as he can to the seemingly "dead" head. He simply stood there, grinning... another mischievous smile, if not an evil one. He uttered a word. <<Anonymous>>

KG : 0.9 x 40 - 30 = 36 - 30 = 6

His KG decreases instantly, then someone comes out from the walls of the alcove. One.... Two... Three... They keep appearing until there's ten of them in total. They simply looks alike, no one can distinguish them. As they stood there, another one came out, the real Jonquil Shadow. With the smile still in his face, he snaps his finger and everyone moves forward toward them with Shadow at the back

LH: Alert Multiple opponent's detected, data is inconclusive of which opponent to attack.

Gadget hummed then thought "both hands hold trap position do not attack until I command, Feet, Arms, do anything you can to reduce the number of opponents approaching the trap area. In fact Arms, load sand into wrist cup and throw sand at target point opponents using catapult throw, feet while opponent is being sanded use stomp or kick to see if you can damage these opponents"

Gadget's arms started to scoop up sand into the wrist cups like shovels and started throwing it at Shadow and his clone army, first one arm then the other. To some it may seem like a weak move but there's a saying never show your best move until the end when it's critical.

The barrage of attacks normally does little to no damage at all, but Shadow's clones are weaker than it looks. The sand deals no damage at all, but it hinders their visions, making it easier for the leg moves in for the kill.

One clone, being at the very front of the mass, was destroyed in an instant. The counter in Shadow's HUD change

Seeing this, he quickly issued an order silently
"Everyone, stick to any surface that is the closest to you"
They activated their ability in a rush. Soon, everyone was gone. However traces of what appears to be shadows with a figure of a running man with a robe can be seen. From the experiences before, he deduces those "limbs" can only detect enemy using motion sensors, thus this move will render them invisible to them

The arms and feet stopped attacking. They were unable to detect any opponents.

Gadget hummed as he noticed his countdown timer was under a minute "Feet and arms return to Ocean, prepare to reattach to main body in one minute.

Gadget's Feet and Arms made their way back into the water.

As they stand behind the head, Shadow issues an order
"All remaining clones, snatch those limbs and bring them as far as you can from here. I'll deal with this thing myself"

Nine clones of Shadow walk out from the walls of the alcove and quickly starts running toward those limb in the water, trying to snatch them away and separate them from each other. Meanwhile, Shadow appears directly behind the head with evil smile appears as he sees the enemy can't retaliate. He raise his right feet, and stomp the head mercilessly countless time

The arms were easily grabbed but the feet could kick even when grabbed.

However just before Shadow could start stomping on Gadget's head, Gadgets main body and torso sprung up like someone had stepped on a rake and caused the handle to come up sending a wave of ocean water at Shadow to surprise/blind him and if that wasn't enough Gadget's two hands shot out of shallow surf and grabbed onto Shadow's legs.

"Conduction!" Gadget projected to his hands "Shock him!"

Both hands started charging electrical energy causing Gadget's KG to drop to 15%. If Shadow didn't manage to free himself of the hands. He would be hit by an electrical current of high power

Another change  in HUD. Two clones were destroyed by those kicking legs. However, Shadow doesn't give any attention to it. Panic, this is all he feel right now. Two hands grabbed his leg and it's clear they're up to something.
Shadow desperately tries to remove both hands, kicking his legs (with the hands still grabbing the leg) to slam them into anything as long as it deals damage. Kicking it to the wall, stomping them on the ground, or event kicking and stomping them to any parts of his enemy around him.

Meanwhile, 2 clones managed to get the hands and start running to the horizon, nowhere to be seen, while the other 5 stopped and rushed back to the aid of their 'master'

The Arms started wildly squirming to get out of the clone's grip

While Shadow was panicking Gadget took these few seconds to roll his head down into deeper water to get away from Shadow's stomping.

Shadow had tried to shake off Gadget's hand. The right hand let go when it was kicked towards a rock and managed to avoid damage by turning into a fist and rolling slightly but the left hand at this moment had a full charge of electricity, was still attached to Shadow and was going to use it. Electricity that could be compared to a surge of a Thundershock move (about a thousand volts) went from the hand and into Shadow's body.

Gadget's two feet followed the other clones however the clones were much faster then they were so they couldn't catch up.

Screams of pain could be heard as the electricity flows to his body. His HP decrease bit by bit steadily. He quickly orders the clones to escape to prevent them from being hit by the electricity flowing in the water

HP : 100% - 10% = 90%

He muster up his strength to withstand the pain and once again tried to shake them off in a similar, albeit rougher manner, but the strength mustered couldn't be enough to shake them off. It will only damage them a bit. His HP still decrease steadily as he tries

HP : 90% - 10% = 80%

Without any strength left to shake them off, he leans to the wall of the alcove, unable to withstand the pain no more.

HP : 80% - 10% = 70%

With his last remaining strength, he activates his ability and sticks to the wall of the alcove as nothing but a mere shadow. The hands won't be able to follow and they'll just fall off. The attack would stop and the rock, being a bad conductor, wouldn't let any electricity flows from the water. This should give Shadow some time to regain his strength. Though he managed to avoid the full power of the attack, he still suffer severe pain.

Meanwhile, the clones, having received the order to escape, wait at the dry area near the alcove. Not knowing what to do, they stand still, waiting for any orders or enemies. While the other two, who has still has the arms, keep moving away while trying to hold the arms that is hindering them and slowing their run

"All limbs return to head for reattachment sequence." Gadget projected in thought.

His body slowly rotated itself so that the head could attach to the proper spot

His hands jumped into the water followed by his feet however his arms were still caught. They struggled to break free, rapidly flip flopping on their elbow joint like a fish out of water

Seeing that those limbs are trying to gather at one place, he issued an order

"Everyone go in and attack. Make sure they're separated, especially the hands"

Having regained some power, he joined the fray, running to the water while in the shadows. Meanwhile, the clones already seeing the enemy before the command was issued, already targeted and followed the hands and head. They tried to snatch them, which should be easy, seeing that those limbs can't move effectively in the water. They will be floating helplessly after all, if not sinking down to the bottom of the ocean

As for the clones that is holding the arms, they almost did a complete stop, since the arms are trying to wriggle harder and break free. They still managed to go so far that those arms won't be able to go back alone. But, faithfully following the orders, they keep moving.

Gadget's head and hands were picked up followed by his feet which prevented his body from reattaching together. However the parts were struggling to break free using whatever movements possible.

Gadget chuckled "hey guys, come on, let go of my parts." He whined "It's embarrassing to get caught in pieces like this."

"Bring that head to me. The rest of you, scatter"

An order is issued as he 'resurface' from the ground. Soon, the clone who hold Gadget's head comes and gives it to Shadow. As Shadow holds it with his left hand, lifting it up to the point it's in front of his face, he replied to Gadget's (what seems to be) half joking plea with a mischievous smile

"How about.... no!"

Then he slams the head to the ground and mercilessly stomps it again.... and again.... and again.....

Gadget took the throw then the stomping taking 20% damage (HP: 40, KG: 35) however this caused his limbs to lash out wildly. His feet kicking towards the other foot's respective clone and the hands twisting like worms to break free and go towards the real Shadow.

Gadget's Body and Torso crawled to try and get to the head.
