Jonquil Shadow VS Violet Repulse

It was a boring afternoon for Thermidor. There's nothing he can think of to liven up the mood. The idea of fighting in the Accelerated World, as he called it, flash in his mind a few times, but he easily dismisses the idea. After a few minutes though, he relents and starts looking at the list of DA in his vicinity and randomly pressed one name, Violet Repulse

Thermidor was enveloped in light and when it's over, he becomes a humanoid metalic figure clad in a black robe. It is his Duel Avatar, Jonquil Shadow. The stage he appears in seems to be a forest, which gives him an advantage since it mixes well with his ability. This makes him grin.

After a while, the UI, with their rusted appearance as usual, appeared, signifying the battle is going to start.

The battle already started and the timer begins to tick. Without any info on where his enemy is except the direction shown by the compass. He falls down, back first, to the ground and activates his ability. The shadow provided by the trees in the forest makes his silhouette completely invisible

Sezaru would be relaxing after having a quick Practice Duel with his best friend Rei. Rei would tease Sezaru apparently no reason after their spar,

"So Sezaru, you're getting better, think you can handle things by yourself soon and start earning your BP?"


Sezaru would just reply with some confidence, "Yeah, I think I can handle things by myself now, after all, we have our epic practice duels now."


Sezaru would then call out the two words, "Burst Link" and go into the Accelerated World, where he immediately turned into his Duel Avatar 'Violet Repulse.' 

"Huh, I got a challenge from somebody named Jonquil Shadow....Shadow......I can almost assume the ability he possesses, but let's hope I'm wrong." Repulse said in his own thoughts, looking at his Compass and looking at his surroundings, he assumed this was a Forest Stage, and began to look for a clearing in the Forest. "I guess I'll have to get lucky on this one."


Repulse then started walking with his EA known as VG - 07 and started hacking at the vines and other things in his way, filling up his KG Bar slightly but steadily.

"Strange. No one's here"

After moving for some time, there's no one in where he predicts the enemy will likely spawn. He deactivate his ability, and equipped the <<Steel Shoulder Guard>> he got before

Repulse would constantly be on the look out for his opponent 'Shadow,' though the compass didn't show anything based on Shadow's estimate location. This made Repulse very wary of his surroundings,


"Tch, c'mon, I hate that the more my compass moves, the more I get this bad feeling I'm right about his specialty," Repulse would think to himself as he keeps moving towards an estimate direction towards the Forest Clearing while destroying a few more vines and branches with his EA "VG - 07."

There he is. Time to do the usual move

Seeing the enemy, he moves towards him soundlessly and unseen, due to the shadow provided by the forest covering him. Right when he's below him, he does a jumping uppercut while deactivating his ability at the same time, imitating the famous move 'Shoryuken' but it's as if he appears from the ground. To effectively hit the enemy, he targets the crotch

Just as Repulse was walking towards what looked like to be a clearing in the Forest, his Compass suddenly disappeared, almost putting Repulse in high alert,

"Crap, I don't hear footsteps, he should be........oh hell no," Repulse would say to himself with alarm.

Repulse would immediately dodge roll backwards out of pure instinct, seeing that somebody came out of the tree's shadow that was under him.

"So.......I was right about his specialty......" Repulse would think inside his head as he immediately ran towards Jonquil Shadow with great Haste, holding his EA "VG - 07" in a reverse grip.

Though, as Repulse was approaching Shadow, he would then pull a baseball slide to go under and between his legs, while at the same time, aiming a Slash Attack with his EA towards Shadow's Ankles.

"C'mon, let's make this a fair fight, and NOT hide in darkness if you don't mind," Repulse would say teasingly while letting out a small snicker.

If the Slash towards Shadow's Ankle connects, essentially, Shadow would have one less foot to fight with.

"Why would I? We have to use what we have"

As he replied Repulse's remark, he jumps backward and fall back first, completely avoiding the attack. Then, righ after he falls, he activates his ability,'diving' into the ground again. Soundlessly, he moves towards the back of Repulse, while the shadow covers him. Again, he jumps while deactivating his ability after being behind Repulse. But this time it's different. He unites both hands and tries to pounds Repulse's head

"Tch, I guess you're right on that one Shadow." Repulse would say with a little attitude as he had completely missed his attempt on cutting off Shadow's Ankle for the remainder of the Duel.

Now as Repulse would keep going forward into what looked like the Forest Clearing, he'd get the distinct impression that anybody with an Ability like Shadow's would do the obvious attack, and come after him from behind if the first tactic didn't work out. Repulse would immediately turn around as he saw Shadow come out from behind and attempt a Double Palm strike to his head, Repulse would then react to this by weaving his head to the right while launching a legitimate high left kick to Shadow's head, then would follow up by going for another Slash attack towards Shadow's torso. Afterwards, Repulse would then keep heading towards the clearing.

"Gotta admit, you're pretty slick for somebody with an Ability like that." Repulse would say calmly.

He dodged, huh. Good instinct he got there

While amazed by the newbie's instinct, the enemy's leg is coming at him, trying to kick his head. However he leans back and fall, avoiding the attacks and again, dived into the ground. This time, he deactivated.his ability only around his hands and tries to grab Repulse's legs and pull it as hard as he could, essentially tripping him

Tch, you gotta love heated Duels like this one right.

Amazed at how they both are giving each other a pretty epic Duel even for being a newbie, he decided to actually communicate with his opponent while fighting him at the same time, this was during the attempt at kicking Shadow.

"Gotta admit, I feel like you've been playing Brain Burst for quite sometime, how long have you played?" Repulse would ask as he saw Shadow dip into the shadows once again.

This time, Repulse would jump up as high as he could, not really assuming anything, only to get some air and buy a little time to dive down and strike with his EA "VG - 07" and kick in Midair if it was needed, then split-step quickly into the clearing.

As he failed to gran Repulse, he moves a few meters away and comes out from the ground.

Before replying, he hesitates whether he should tell the truth or not, but he decides not to lie

"Around a year or more I think, I can really remember.The acceleration messed up my sense of time while playing"

"Hmmm, so I'll estimate that something reset Brain Burst, otherwise, you'd be at Level 9 now, am I right?" Repulse would ask with curiosity.

Afterwards, as Shadow didn't make any response to him jumping into the Air, Repulse would tilt his body in Midair towards a tree, as he would land on it and then Jump towards the Forest Clearing.

Just a few more seconds, and I can make it to the Clearing......assuming that Shadow doesn't interrupt my attempt again.

Repulse would then whisper to himself while making the leap from the tree he just landed on, "Mode Change" as he kept his Blade in front of him, so that Shadow wouldn't be able to tell what he was doing with his GunBlade. After about 3 Seconds, the GunBlade changed forms from Blade to Gun, now allowing Repulse to attack from a safe distance while dodging Shadow at the same time, and Shadow has no knowledge of the Ability of Repulse's EA, yet.

"More or less..."

As his opponent tries gets away, he falls again, activation his ability. His ability that enables him to traverse any surface and superior speed makes him able to catch up, and even get to the tree first. As Repulse lands, he sticks out his head and his arms

"Cheap tricks like running away and use ranged attacks to keep me away won't work on me"

As he said that, he grabs Repulse and pulls him down so he will fall from the trees

Tch, I forgot Shadow Traveling is the fastest way to go.

Repulse would be pulled down to the ground, taking minor damages from the fall, as he immediately got back up and would whisper to himself again "Mode Change," as the Gun would revert back to Blade Form and seeing that the clearing is just right there, and his KG Bar has filled up slightly again. While doing so, he would cut down more vines and other Forest Debris to fill up his KG bar quickly.

"Well then.....a year huh, doesn't that make you a veteran then Shadow?" Repulse would ask out of curiosity.

Repulse would then run towards the Forest Clearing, seeing how it's so close now to where his present location was.

I wonder......how much has my HP dropped and my KG filled up? Repulse would think to himself as he looks at his HP and KG bars while running, solely relying on his instincts at the moment to dodge whatever happens next.

"It's a game of Chess, let's see who gets Checkmate and wins the Duel, shall we?" Repulse would say jokingly yet was serious about it at the same time.

Right after he pulled Repulse, he quickly dived again and moves to the side of the branch he's on. This time, he does tje same trick as before (jumping while eeactivating his ability to propel himself) with a bit of twist. He jumps out like before, however in mid air, he positioned himself on top of his enemy with his elbow coming right at the head of Repulse. Yes, he's doing an elbow drop. And if the enemy get up faster than him falling ( which is almost impossible), he will simply positioned himself to fall back first and dive again

Tch, he's a guy who likes to keep his opponent down....not on my watch. Repulse would think to himself as he would swing his GunBlade upwards towards the Elbow of Shadow, almost forcing him to let Repulse get up and move or force the unnecessary detachment of his own elbow.

"Not yet buddy." Repulse would say to Shadow as he was getting up and swinging his sword upwards towards Shadow's Elbow, aiming to for the Cut Off.

As planned before, Shadow simply straighten his arms and curled jis body to avoid the attack, while still faloing back first. Then, he simply dives and tries the first move he used, jumping uppercut from the ground that target the crotch

Once again......I get the bad feeling it's same process.... Repulse would think to himself as this time instead of rolling backwards he decided to Dodge Roll forward to avoid the next attack that would happen in order to get to the Clearing, where he would then slash a few more vines and Forest Debris to clear his way finally into the Forest Clearing.

Finally.....I'm at the clearing! Repulse to say in his mind, but he had hoped to get there in one piece without losing HP. 

Now I gotta work quickly on my KG bar, it's all or nothing with this one attack I have to use..... Repulse would think to himself with some haste, as he began cutting down a large amount of Forest Debris, Vines and Branches to quickly fill up his KG Bar.

Without any feeling to rush the battle, Shadow simply walks away, destroying vines, branches, etc on the way. Some might say he's a coward. But, this is a strategic retreat. Unlike the reds who can fight at long range to ensure their safety and the blues who can force their way to CQC, the yellows fight strategically with deceits and tricks. And this, he knows very well.

*sigh* man, this is a lot harder than a thought, facing somebody who's legit a shadow attacker....I need to bet this all in one attack....what a drag. «Repulse» would think to himself as he kept killing up his KG Bar quickly, knowing that time is of the essence.

This is the best I can do against somebody with that type of ability.......wait, lemme check my Killer Move real quick.... «Repulse» would whisper to himself as he opened up his Skill Set and checked his Killer Move: Shadow Break

The move essentially looks like a Mini-Getsugatensho but there's also a crap load of notes:
NOTE: Shadow Break/Pulse can be used at Point Blank Range (Allowing the Bullet being used to Sharpen the Dense Slash to also pierce Violet Repulse’s opponent, or even simple point-blank head shots if it's fired close enough to the opponent).
Secondary Note: Shadow Break doesn't always have to be in a Straight Left to Right OR Up and Down Line, it can also be launched at an angle so that it makes it harder to Violet Repulse's opponents to actually dodge the move than it already is.
Third Note: If fully charged, Shadow Break/Pulse does NOT have to be used immediately, it can be stored for later on in the battle, and if the Killer Gauge goes up to 100% a Second Time (AND ONLY a Second Time, no more than that), Shadow Break/Pulse can once again be charged up, but it will NOT let out two at once, or even use one and the other charge is still stored, rather, it unleashes a Stronger/Faster (depending on Form) Shadow Break/Pulse, for Shadow Break, the slash will become 2x more powerful, and the Height/Width Doubles, while the Range only increases 1 Meter. As for Shadow Pulse, it will increase in speed from 500 to 1500 feet per second to 1000 to 2000 feet per second and the damage output would increase to 1.5x the original amount.

OH MY GOD, TOO MANY NOTES!! «Repulse» would scream inside his head, but after reading it, he noticed that there so many perks to his Killer Move that he decided to use the 3rd Note to his advantage and immediately started destroying trees little by little to fill up his KG Bar.

Let's pick up the pace

With this in mind, he starts running while trying to destroy anything he can. Branches, twigs, woods, anything he can find while keeping his speed

As far as I know, Shadow may try going further away from me...... «Repulse» would think to himself,
So then......I should give chase while still getting rid of everything along the path.... «Repulse» would whisper to himself.

While walking towards the Compass' guidance, he would go through the thickest route on purpose to start cutting down everything in his path, thus beginning to shorten Shadow's range of Shadow Combat.

Tch......I hate that my KG bar fills up slowly......guess it makes sense with all these perks..... «Repulse» would say to himself while walking through the thick route in the forest, slowly but steadily walking towards Shadow now.

Sounds of footsteps can be faintly heard from his back. Shadow  abruptly stops at this revelation.

So, he choose to fight in this forest? Then I'll give him what he wants

After destroying some branches and woods around, he let himself fall and dives to the ground, not moving even for an inch, waiting to ambush his opponent while the forest cover his silhouette, rendering him completely invisible

Hmmph.....looks like Shadow took the bait, I guess my reckless tactics will have to come to form now.... «Repulse» would think to himself as he cut down the giant tree, vines and other debris to fill up his KG Bar slightly.

"Come out come out wherever you are Shadow...." «Repulse» would say playfully, know that he may have to take slight damage before launching the Kill Blow to Shadow, the plan in his mind is perfectly set up, only heavy damage towards me could possibly make this fail.....at least in Repulse's opinion.

«Repulse» would have his EA "VG - 07" held in Reverse Grip, ready to fight back against Shadow whenever he pops up, he feels like that he has pattern of Combat down well enough to predict and dodge AND/OR Attack accordingly, along with Instinct, «Repulse» has gained some confidence now to fight back, and see this to the bitter end.

No more running, it's all or nothing.....for either of us.... «Repulse» would think to himself as he waited for Shadow to pop up in his area, being that now half of his end was without Shadow, though the Shadow's are somewhat scattered around, meaning that Shadow can still launch some pretty nasty sneak attacks if «Repulse» isn't careful enough.

Unbeknownst to Repulse, Shadow is already beneath him (or more like, Repulse actually stepped on his silhouette). Of course, a chance like this wouldn't be missed by him. His plan is simple, he grabs Repulse leg and pull him down. When he falls, his right leg will kick Repulse weapon, disarming him. After he has fallen, the other arm will hold the other leg while he can stomp him with both leg. The plan is easy to execute, and since it's a grabbing move, he won't be able to escape at all.

With the plan already finalized, he finally put it into action.
